Entrevista à revista EJM

By GERAL, NOTÍCIASNo Comments

The main researcher of the MyGender project, Inês Amaral, gave an interview to the scientific journal Estudos de Jornalismo e Mídia (EJM), of the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

In the interview, Amaral deals especially with details of her academic career and the way in which she connects her personal values to her choices of research topics. He also deals with the importance that platforms take in journalism and everyday life, as well as presenting the MyGender project.

“My personal life has always been marked by a history of resistance – I am the granddaughter of an anti-fascist resistor and political prisoner, as well as having family members who were persecuted by the dictatorship in Portugal, including my father. So the research I conduct in academia will always be attentive to a critical and changing context.”

Read the full interview on the EJM magazine website. The publication’s most recent issue can be accessed in full and features a series of thematic articles exploring journalism with a contemporary and critical view signed by dozens of researchers in the field.
